Norfolk has History all about, Geology to astound and Architecture to amaze. It has the more medieval Churches than any other area in Europe. Visit the tiny church of St Mary’s at Houghton on the hill, which has the oldest wall paintings of any church in Europe. Set in a beautiful garden in a lost village, set in a landscape where Bronze and Iron age settlers lived and where Romans worshipped. Visit the lost village of Godwick once the home of The Coke family Earls of Leicester. Burnham Thorpe the birthplace of Lord Horatio Nelson & follow the Nelson trail around the east coast and Norwich. Norfolk is the tribal lands of Boudicca who routed the Romans at Colchester & London & St Albans and went on (believed to be) into The Midlands only to be defeated by The Romans returning from North Wales. Take a walk on the Peddars way a 46 mile long distance footpath which was metalled by the Romans for travel across East Anglia to prevent the Iceni’s from rebelling against the might of the Army.

Hunstanton is the only East Coast resort to face West, go and see some magical sunsets across the wash. Go and stand on Holkham beach and just imagine there is no land between you and the North Pole.
